Michigan: Farm to Glass

Like food, beer and wine are agricultural products. Our goal is to highlight the connections between the beverage in your glass, the food on your plate, and the farming behind them by using 100% Michigan ingredients in our beer and wine.

We partner with Michigan farms for our malt, hops, and fruit to craft beverages representative of a certain place and time. Our growers have a variety of farming practices, but we seek out organic growers believing it’s better for the environment, ourselves, and the beverage in your glass.

Are you growing something that does well organically in Michigan? Reach out! We love discovering new ingredients for fermentations.

At our home in Allegan, we farm and forage a portion of the ingredients used at the brewery and winery, while taking steps each year to increase the amount we can supply ourselves.

We use a probiotic spray program in our hopyard and vineyard consisting of beneficial microorganisms, seaweed, molasses, and clay which allows us to farm organically without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or heavy metals. We also encourage beneficial insects, manage bird houses, and allow other animals to call these spaces their home.
